Halo: Reach.
The Plot on Halo: Reach
Takes place prior to Halo: Combat Evolved’s story, exactly on planet Reach which is the place where humans are performing Spartan program. The UNSC soldiers are fighting to the death to protect the planet from the Covenants’ attack. As a Spartan soldier, whose call-sign is ‘Noble 6’, player has to cooperate with the other Noble team members to fight the Covenants.
Brand New Mjolnir Armor Abilities
In this game, power-up equipments as seen in previous Halo (i.e Active Camo) are replaced with special armor abilities, such as jetpack, active camo, sprint, and armor lock (makes you invincible, but you’re stationary). In addition of usually found weapons, Halo: Reach will also give more brand new weapons. Unfortunately, dual-wielding ability is removed in this game.
The most awesome thing being shown on yesterday’s E3 is, a mission where players have to fight the Covenants using a spaceship. In that mission, the Spartans are piloting ‘Sabre’ starfighter to protect a space station from Covenants’ attack. However, we still don’t know whether this mission can be played in coop or not.
Newer Multiplayer Experience.
Just like in the multiplayer beta version, now players can choose to play as standard Spartan or a Covenant Elites, both have different armor abilities. Those abilities are related to the chosen ‘loadout’ while spawning on map, and the loadouts will be determined by the match mode player choose, which means that players will be able to create their own loadout in custom game. In addition, Forge, Custom Games and Theater will return in Halo: Reach.
Halo: Reach will be released in three different editions: standard edition, limited edition, with story information and exclusive in-game Elite armor ability, and Legendary Edition which contains everything else in the limited edition, plus in-game Spartan armor effect, and a Spartan statue made by McFarlane Toys.
The game will be released in 14 September 2010. And, it seems that Halo: Reach has extreme potential to be more successful than Halo 3 or even ODST.
