Toei Movie Land located in Kyoto is known by its visitors as a Theme Park where they can look around the movie sets from many Japanese movies. After its movie theme, now Toei is ready to expand their theme park to include the anime museum as well.

This news has been announced at the press conference on Tuesday that the renovation is undergoing in order to include the anime museum. The renovated Toei Theme Park will be available with the new anime museum on September 15 next month.

In this new anime museum expansion, the visitors will be introduced to the history of Toei animation. Many anime titles from Toei will be featured in this museum with interactive displays for the visitors to enjoy, such as One Piece, Precure, and Kamen Rider. Since the studio opened in 1975, many renovations have been undergone. This anime museum is the biggest renovation for Toei studio which costing a total of 3 billion yen (about US$ 39 million).

The renovation include an ukioye (color prints from the Edoperiod) art gallery and a ninja residence will also be added into the museum with a hope that it will catch the interest from many attending visitors. As the company said, they are hoping for this studio to be a place where tourist will visit often and aiming for the increase of yearly attendance from 700,000 to 1 million visitors.
