Valve has announced that they are currently working on latest Counter Strike installment, Counter Strike: Global Offensive. CS:GO will deliver loads of new maps, characters and weapons, as well as classic contents, such as legendary maps; ‘de_dust’, ‘de_dust2’, ‘de_nuke’, ‘de_inferno’, and more.

New game modes are also available, as well as matchmaking and leaderboards feature. New weapons including decoy grenades and Molotov cocktail. Valve also tries to balance favorite powerful weapons (Deagle/Desert Eagle,AK,M4, and AWP) to allow people make better use of those ‘underrated’ weapons (especially sub-machineguns and shotguns).

CS:GO is developed by Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment, who is responsible in helping Valve with Counter Strike: Source’s updates. This game will uses Portal 2 Source engine. This game is targeted for release in early 2012, although Valve could plan a closed-beta period within the next coming months.
