Final Fantasy Versus XIII was first shown at E3 2006 with a beautiful CG movie and just like Final Fantasy XIII, it has captured gamers attention and expectation. The CG movie has also created a great hype but ever since the release of Final Fantasy XIII, until now there is still no exact date yet for the next release for Final Fantasy Versus XIII. 

From GamingUnion, the Final Fantasy XIII Producer, Yoshinori Kitase was asked about Final Fantasy Versus XIII release date and he replied that "We have no release date information to update. Unfortunately we can't say anything about that. We can't commit ourselves to 2011 either."

It's no longer a secret for true FF fans that Final Fantasy XIII is a big drawback from Final Fantasy series. Long linear corridor, the lack of shops and cities, uninspiring stories has become the biggest let down for Final Fantasy fans. So probably because of that, SquareEnix is trying to make Final Fantasy Versus XIII to really live the hype this time.

In our opinion, maybe right now SquareEnix trying to make Versus XIII to have an entirely different gameplay from the original Final Fantasy XIII. Probably if this time, they add more engaging story, cities & shops and no more linear corridor then Final Fantasy might became our favorite RPG games once again.
